School is going Great

28 Aug

Hey guys, I know it seems like it’s been a while since I updated the old blog, well.. I’ve been busy. I have a few clients that are sucking up any free time that I have. I’ll be getting a cell phone prolly within the next week. I’m going to be using it to chat with clients and any SEO consulting that may be needed.
School has been real good. I’m really looking forward to this years class. The teacher just does a little better job at teaching I think. I’ve only missing one day so far, but it was excused. Alissa grandmother passed away last week, this is what has been taking a lot of my time as well. We went out to BFE about 90 mins from the house to visit her 2 times last week, and then to go to the viewing and funeral.
Summer is about over, and the pool is still up. It’s been a bit of a chore to have a pool, I’m not sure I’ll set it up again next year. Maybe we’ll get a better one if we do put a pool up.
Alissa and I went to a few charity events 2 weeks ago, she donated 2 pieces that sold for 700$ It was a good time, free food and drink :D We’re going to be going up to lawrence this weekend to pick up some art that is at the public library. Then we’ll be going to chi-town a few weekends after that :D
Well, I need to get back to what I was doing. If you want to see what we had to eat tonight, check this out.
This is a pizza I’ve made before. Alissa loves it and I do too. I take a pound of chicken and season it with Daddy Hinckles, If you haven’t tried it, you should give it a shot.. It’s wonderful. Then I went and got the crust mix, mixed up the crust. Spread it around the pan, trying to make it as even as possible. I then tossed the crust in the oven for 5 mins to lightly brown the crust and give it some form. I then put the alfredo source and cheese on. Let the cheese melt a little, Shred the chicken and spread it on the crust as well.. Then put it back in the oven for 10 more mins, pull it out and you see what you get :D

Cisco Routers and Engineering Journals

14 Aug

These are what I’ll be working with for the next 180 days. I started class back up at Kaw area tech school in the mornings on monday. I’m really looking forward to this years class. We’ve started with only 10 students, and one might be dropping out so that drops it down to 9.  This is much better in comparison to last years starting class of 20. Plus I think This years teacher will teach in a way I can understand better. We are the first class to use Vista the whole year, it has some cool "pretty" stuff, but it’s so slow even with 1279 Mg RAM :O We have to keep engineering journals and I may even post mine online. We can have help with grammar and spelling, both areas that I certainly could use some help on. I’ve been getting to bed at a decent time so I’ve had plenty of sleep, this is especially critical on those long lecture mornings.
We just got a check from some links we were selling on Alissa’s site, so I’ve been picking up some art and artist backlinks. If you know of any, shoot me a comment :) My other sites are doing great, the forum posting contest have really been a hit. vBSetup usually has at least 5 members on and about 50 guest/spiders. I wont be able to reply to as many post during school. We have some great mods that will kick it in and help out tho. :)
I’ve added a few things to this blog, one being the top commenters widget. This will show the top commenters with links to their websites without the nofollow attribute. This means you’ll get PR leakage from our home page. You must be logged in for the link to have the nofollow removed. Added a new style with 3 columns, I think it looks okay, what do you think ? I’m  going to work on the banner when I get time, Alissa and I are going to a dress up event shortly, maybe I can get a nice landscape shot of us :)
Well, I need to go make her lunch and I have a few clients that need work. Time to make that money :D
Thanks for checking out the blog
-Brandon

School's about out

12 May

Hey guys, whats been going on with you ??

Well, things have been great for me.

Alissa has 3 shows since I last posted. well 2, one got cancelled because of the weather, but of the 3 she has sold a few pieces. She said is almost to the point of making money with her art business, I know she has spent a lot tho so it’s going to take a while to really start making some income.

My job that I was working at had to lay me off. Honestly, I wasn’t surprised. They couldn’t even afford for blank CD’s to record some programs onto for the techs. It was good experience for me to see different ways to fix and diagnose problems. I hope I can find another pc repair job when I go out to look for one. Right now I’m going to do a little website work, it’s good and easy money for me :)

Alissa and I pretty much got all the old shed tore up and placed in piles for the dump. It’s in pretty bad shape, the concrete that was under the shed only goes half way and the rest was rock. The ground was slanted in a way that water would travel up to the side of the shed. This caused the wood to rot and the structure was crap. We’re waiting for my father in law to help build the next shed, we’ve already bought some of the wood.

That’s a quick summery of whats happen that I can think of off hand. I’ve spent a Lot of time at the vBulletin Setup forums, I just merged a smaller site with ours. They had some great content that fit well on our site. :)

Oh ya, school is about out, we have one week left. I’ll be passing for sure but lately the class has been hella boring :(   The working in the field taught me Soo much more.
